Class Tips

Attitude and Respect: A positive attitude is always appreciated! Come to class ready to “work it” ;) Make friends and socialize, but make sure to do it before or after class. Keep chatter during class to a minimum; you’re there to learn and so are others, so get the most for your money!

Attire: Comfortable clothing. You may show your torso, but if you feel uncomfortable please wear a fitted/tight shirt. It’s important to wear something that keeps the body visible as the teacher needs to be able to see all body movements in order to correct posture, etc.

Foot Wear: Bare feet are recommended, but can wear socks or “footies” if prefer.

Accessories: Hip scarves are necessary to accentuate hip movements; they are a must! All styles accepted.

Food and Beverages:
Keep hydrated! Bring bottle water…but be careful with food or drinks near dance floor.

Personal Belongings: Please do not leave personal belongings unattended or placed where it could be a safety hazard. Sahari or the dance studio are not responsible for the loss of personal property.

Payment: Cash or checks are accepted. Please make payments in a timely manner and have it ready before the lesson begins.

Health Issues -
If you have any health concerns, please see your doctor before attending class.  If a movement hurts, stop immediately and inform the instructor of the problem. Your well-being is most important.
